LED lighting is the next big thing in the indoor grow lighting department as many studies have shown that LED lighting has many advantages when it comes to indoor grow plants systems. A complete indoor LED lighting system can cover a wide spectrum which can address all the light needs of the plants that is inside the system. The efficiency of the lighting is increased by the light panels and the reflective ability of it. An efficient light panel can easily amplify the effect of the existing lights in the system. Through this article I would like to give an idea on how to make our own LED grow panels which can add a lot of value to the system.

The tools needed for the making and the installation of LED grow panel includes:
- Wire stripper
- Soldering iron
Step One: The first includes the drilling of holes into the aluminum or any medium which reflects light. The holes are meant for the placing of the LED lights intact. The LED drivers will be fixed to the holes and a hole should also be made to the passing of the wire which supplies the electricity. The drill for the lights can be of the smaller size but the hole for the wire should be small as all the wire from the lights will have to pass through that.
Step two: Now that our LED grow panel is drilled, it is time to fix the LED to the panel and this can be done by the measuring and marking of the panel into equal columns. Each column represents place for each of the LEDs. The LEDs are fixed with glue and is attached to the columns that are marked for it. It is crucial to note that the terminal (+ & -) of the LEDs should be pointed to the same way unless it is your own configuration.
Step Three: Step three is making LED grow panel is the soldering stage where the connections should be soldered into the lights. It is suggested that the soldering be done in rectangle shapes. The simplest way of connecting would be by joining the + terminal to the – terminal of each LED so at the end it should be two connections per LED.
Step Four: The next step would be to bolt the drivers into the panel to make it intact and to make sure that it doesn’t move.
Step Five: After the bolting of the driver it is time to connect the driver to a power source. In this step the driver should be connected with a 120 V or a 220 V power plug. The plug is connected by matching 3 AC blue wires from the driver to any one of the plug wires. A switch can be added along with the plug for making it easy to operate and it is also highly recommended.
Step six: Step six is the last step in the process of setting up the LED grow panel and is dedicated to manage the temperature of the whole plate. Users can use PC fans or other similar scale fans which can reduce the plate temperature. The power to the fan can also be done through the same process as for the bulbs in the plate.
Now as you can see the process is not that hard and just needs some concentrated efforts to make it efficient and effective. Light panels can most certainly amplify the light that is generated by the LED bulbs in the panel. Light as you know is a very crucial aspect in the growing span of a plant.
